A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on Resource Room and self-contained classroom settings within a K-12 urban school district in Waterford, MI. This contract position runs approximately from January 26, 2026, through June 12, 2026, with a caseload of up to 22 students primarily in self-contained classrooms, although candidates may work with students ranging from early learning (pre-K) through 12th grade. Responsibilities include delivering individualized instruction tailored to students special needs, managing classroom dynamics, and collaborating with families and school staff to support student success. Candidates must be comfortable supporting diverse learners in an urban educational environment and demonstrate knowledge of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) as they relate to IDEA federal regulations.
