Position Summary A school in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced and dedicated

Assistant Principal

to support the Principal in overseeing daily school operations, academic programs, staff development, and student success. The Assistant Principal will play a key leadership role in fostering a positive school culture, ensuring instructional excellence, and maintaining high standards of student behavior and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Principal in managing daily school operations and administrative functions

Assist in supervising and evaluating instructional staff

Support curriculum implementation and instructional best practices

Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive school environment

Address student discipline issues in accordance with school policies

Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, students, and staff

Assist with staff development, mentoring, and professional learning initiatives

Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and academic reporting

Participate in school events, meetings, and leadership planning

Ensure compliance with DOE/state regulations and school policies

Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field

Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certification preferred

Prior teaching and/or school leadership experience required

Strong organizational, leadership, and decision‑making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced school environment
