Position Overview Lead - Unit Assembly (A-Shift Mon–Thurs 6am–4:30pm). The role supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers—including inspectors, precision workers, machine setters, operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators—to ensure quality production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.
Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Make decisions and solve problems.
Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates.
Inspect equipment, structures, or material.
Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings.
Guide, direct, and motivate subordinates.
Coach and develop others.
Advise others on ways to improve processes or products.
Confer with others to resolve production problems or equipment malfunctions.
Enforce rules or regulations.
Inspect production equipment.
