Subrogation Specialist – Medical Payments (Remote) CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer

is hiring. This role supports the company’s goal to help members prevent, prepare for, and recover from life’s uncertainties.

Role Overview A Subrogation Specialist – Medical Payments handles incoming calls, manages a dedicated volume of arbitrations, and initiates arbitration and cross‑application between companies on disputed Medical Payments and PIP claims. The position involves investigating losses, determining best practices for subrogation, securing recovery, and managing liability cases.

Key Responsibilities

Handle an inventory of automotive damage, disputed liability, and cross‑jurisdictional claims.

Initiate and conduct arbitration between companies on disputed liability and/or damage claims.

Negotiate and conclude recovery settlements within authority while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Conduct activities professionally, demonstrating positive behavior and corporate values.

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle auto claims within draft authority.

File and hear arbitrations as required.

Determine appropriate collection methods.

Qualifications

3+ years of automotive claims liability experience.

General or advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements.

Strong customer service and negotiation skills.

Proficient analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Basic math and computer skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Typing speed of 50 wpm.

Team‑oriented mindset.

Ability to take direction and act accordingly.

Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning proficiency.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.

Desired Preferences

Experience with Medical Payments, PIP, or Bodily Injury claims.

Understanding of other lines (homeowners, auto, personal property).

Advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations.

BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or related field.

Excellent communication with diverse backgrounds.

Active participation in culture‑building activities.

Alignment with cultural norms for remote collaboration.

Compensation Base salary range: $62,460.00–$69,400.00 per year (national) with a location‑based adjustment for Colorado at $62,460.00–$76,550.00. Ongoing bonus potential up to 7% of eligible pay via the Annual Incentive Plan.

Hourly band (remote U.S. positions except Hawaii and Alaska): $30.03–$40.10 (average hourly $30.03–$33.37).
