What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Manage a designated volume of arbitrations, including initiating arbitration and cross-applying between companies on disputed Medical Payments and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims
Investigate and research losses to determine best practices for subrogation
Negotiate and conclude recovery settlements while maintaining strict regulatory compliance
Handle an inventory consisting of automotive damage, disputed liability, and cross-jurisdictional claims
Determine appropriate recovery methods and file arbitrations as required
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 years of automotive claims liability experience
General or advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements
Strong customer service and negotiation skills
Proficient analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with Medical Payments, PIP, or Bodily Injury claims
General understanding of different lines of coverage (e.g., homeowners, auto, personal property)
BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or related area, or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills with respect for diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated participation in community service or employee resource groups
