Capacity Management Analyst II - HSO AMB CAPACITY MGMT & ACCESS - Mount Sinai Hospital
Full‑Time M‑F 9AM‑5PM (Hybrid)
Description The Capacity Management Analyst II brings proficiency and innovation in applying knowledge of clinical and business requirements, with technical skills to implement advanced scheduling capabilities, and takes ownership of project builds to successful completion. The analyst is a subject‑matter expert (SME) in Epic Cadence, client and Access Center operational workflows. Responsibilities include decision support for system design, advanced template management, and design and development of Epic Decision Trees. The analyst also manages application configuration, go‑live support, and ongoing client support while collaborating with the Capacity Management Team to complete tasks and provide mentorship when applicable.
Responsibilities
Lead designated Capacity Management initiatives: Plan and execute advanced template management requests, responsible for advanced scheduling decision support for specialties across Ambulatory, and maintain decision support for scheduling accuracy by Access Center.
Possess intimate knowledge of Epic Cadence and advanced scheduling methodology, and demonstrate proficiency in analytical frameworks, departmental operations, and key stakeholders.
Act as an external point of contact for solving operational and client issues, assisting stakeholders to address internal and external client needs or concerns, and resolving operational/administrative inquiries for Access Centers and Ambulatory clients.
Provide analytical framework and consultative services to clients regarding desired outcomes and offer recommendations or solutions to Cadence‑related scheduling concerns, including decision support system and/or template management.
Support centralized template design and management for provider schedules, ensuring continuous alignment of ambulatory scheduling templates with patient demand.
Offer consultative services to Digital and Technology Partners on tickets regarding template change requests from operational clients.
Provide go‑live and roll‑out support collaborating with Access Centers, Ambulatory, and DTP; support users on new Epic applications, modules, and functionality.
Analyze multiple data streams to improve coordinated scheduling delivery, identify areas of improvement to increase scheduler accuracy and efficiency, audit and provide feedback on template build activities.
Assess impact of day‑to‑day change requests on centralized templates and decision trees, testing all change requests through different Epic environments in coordination with DTP to ensure process standards, collaboratively working with interdepartmental teams and end‑users to ensure proficiency.
Implement and innovate processes that drive operational efficiency and client service, continuously evaluating and improving existing processes to optimize performance.
Successfully implement and execute end‑user advanced template strategy, including assigned tasks and projects on time, and manage multiple template optimization requests.
Analyze, track, and trend performance data; quickly identify trends and elevate concerns to key stakeholders to resolve issues before causing disruptions in client service delivery.
Increase throughput and efficiency of ambulatory scheduling with a focus on Access Centers.
Maintain frequent engagement with Capacity Management leadership as an access and scheduling optimization SME, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred (or High School Degree with equivalent knowledge, skills, experience).
Experience Requirements
2‑3 years healthcare experience in outpatient setting, including experience in healthcare operations, medical office administration, and/or healthcare information systems.
Epic proficiency (Cadence, Prelude, etc.).
Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio preferred).

Compensation Salary range: $72,473 – $108,709 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need. The range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other benefits.
