We are seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Equipment and Refrigeration Technician to maintain our kitchens and onsite bakeries. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration, and HVAC systems across our extensive campus. Your work will ensure operational efficiency and support our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial cooking equipment
Install, calibrate, and optimize kitchen ventilation and appliance systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
Ensure compliance with OSHA, refrigeration, gas, and electrical safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to resolve technical issues
Core Equipment You'll Work On
Refrigeration: Walk-in coolers/freezers, blast chillers, ice machines
Cooking Equipment: Commercial ovens, fryers, steam kettles, tilt skillets
Ventilation & HVAC: Exhaust hoods, rooftop HVAC units, make-up air systems
Dishwashing & Sanitation: High-capacity dishwashers, automated sanitation systems

Minimum Qualifications
CFC Universal Certification
EPA 608 certification
Legal eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
Willingness to relocate to Madison, WI
COVID-19 vaccination
At least 3 years of experience in:
Commercial kitchen equipment service and repair
Refrigeration system installation and service
Electrical troubleshooting
Gas-fired equipment and piping
