We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to oversee warehouse operations, materials, tools, vehicles, and inventory for our South Florida headquarters.

Position Overview: The Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator ensures that all materials, equipment, tools, and vehicles are properly organized, tracked, and maintained to support daily field operations. This role includes daily activity reporting via Slack, wood and material management, and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments with freight providers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations
Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials, equipment, and tools.
Inspect all deliveries for completeness, accuracy, and potential damage.
Stage and prepare outbound project kits based on work orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and labeled warehouse layout.
Operate forklift safely and follow OSHA standards.
Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts (target 99% accuracy).
Material & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate digital inventory logs (Excel/Service Fusion).
Track and maintain all wood stock by type, size, species (cedar, hemlock, etc.), quantity, and condition.
Coordinate with Sales and Purchasing staff to allocate items from inventory and prevent unnecessary reorders.
Coordinate incoming shipments from suppliers and ensure proper documentation.
Facilitate outbound freight and LTL orders with Unishippers or vendor logistics departments.
Track reorder points and maintain on‑hand supply levels.
Properly label and rotate inventory to ensure quality and usability.
Equipment & Controls Testing
Test electrical controls, heaters, and related components to determine usability versus disposal.
Maintain a log of tested items showing operational, repairable, or scrap status.
Verify that all equipment reissued to job sites is functional and properly tagged.
Tool Management
Maintain a master tool inventory with check‑in/out tracking by employee.
Inspect tools weekly and log any repairs, replacements, or warranty claims.
Keep tools organized, labeled, and in ready‑to‑use condition.
Vehicle Fleet Oversight
Schedule and track vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tires, inspections, cleaning).
Maintain mileage, registration, insurance, and service records.
Ensure vehicles are safe, fueled, and properly stocked for field crews.
Manage key assignments and monitor driver compliance.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA standards and maintain PPE supply levels.
Keep safety signage visible and current.
Report hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Daily Activity Reporting (via Slack)
Submit daily Slack update summarizing:
Materials received, inspected, and dispatched.
Inventory or stock changes.
Wood or material shortages.
Equipment tests and tool repairs.
Vehicle and shipment status.
Freight orders placed with Unishippers or vendors.
Include supporting photos or documentation as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years warehouse or logistics experience (construction materials preferred).
Forklift certification and OSHA 10 or 30 preferred (or willing to obtain).
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
Strong organizational, inventory, and communication skills.
Experience coordinating shipments and freight orders (LTL, Unishippers, FedEx Freight, etc.).
Tech‑capable: Slack, Excel, and Service Fusion.
Able to lift 50–75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Daily Expectations
Arrive on time and maintain a professional appearance.
Communicate actively with Sales, Purchasing, and Project Managers via Slack.
Submit daily Slack reports with photos and notes on warehouse activity.
Keep the warehouse clean, optimized, and compliant with safety standards.
