Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

Boydton, VA Duration:
18 months on W2 Pay Range:
$23 - $26 per hour Shift:
Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu‑Sat & Wed‑Sat)
Responsibilities
Remove network cables as part of a data center decommission process.
Run, label, and stage power and networking cables for DBD removal (without scanning).
Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under guidance.
Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic hardware startups and shutdowns following written instructions and standard procedures.
Conduct physical audits of data center assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours including weekends and holidays.
Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred.
