Addison Group is partnering with a client to identify a Payroll Manager to oversee and execute end-to-end U.S. payroll operations. This is a high-visibility role requiring hands‑on payroll processing expertise, strong compliance knowledge, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. The Payroll Manager will own payroll processing within a modern payroll system, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and partner closely with Accounting, HR, and Finance leadership. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, confident working independently, and comfortable managing payroll operations with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute full‑cycle U.S. payroll processing using a cloud‑based payroll system Review payroll inputs including time data, benefits, deductions, bonuses, and other earnings Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, and off‑cycle payments Maintain accurate payroll records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Partner with Accounting and HR teams to support payroll reporting and reconciliations Assist with payroll tax filings, documentation, and audit support Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data at all times Qualifications
5+ years of U.S. payroll experience 2+ years of hands‑on experience using Workday Payroll or a similar enterprise payroll system Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements Experience managing payroll audits, reporting, and data validation Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday Equal Opportunity Employer
