Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.

Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.

Champion On‑Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in‑store inventory processes. Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.

Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications impacting front end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.

Maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, filing claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.

Open and close the store in the absence of store management, ensuring all required systems, cash handling, and cashier responsibilities are completed and that floors and stock rooms are ready for business.

Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.

Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.

Scan deliveries and open tickets as needed to correct inaccurate orders.

Under pharmacist supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments and complete or verify postings of all pharmacy warehouse orders, ABC prescription and OTC orders daily, and secondary vendor orders.

Complete On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) end‑to‑end process including warehouse and direct store delivery (DSD) for planogrammed departments, executing disposals, call‑ins, and vendor returns before expiration.

Complete pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls following hazardous waste policy and vendor returns.

Execute all pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, and markdown deletions, ensuring daily price changes and accurate signage.

Support front end and pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items, monitoring pharmacy manual orders, and maintaining consigned inventory and orders as required.

Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across all departments, stores, and pharmacies.

Assist in preparing for physical inventory and support daily inventory day activities, including preparing sales floor, stockroom, and pharmacy for inventory.

Help keep all counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.

Assist and coach the store team on all package delivery activities and support the Pickup Program.

When serving as the leader on duty, register all related sales on the assigned point‑of‑sale system, completing product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to safe.

Communicate assigned tasks to team members, report disciplinary issues, and convey customer complaints to management.

Comply with all company policies and procedures while maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.

Complete additional assigned activities and tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

“Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage execution.

Experience identifying operational issues and recommending strategies to resolve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.

Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
