Supervisory Social Worker – U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (GS‑12).
Pay: $105,988–$137,791 per year, subject to qualifications.
Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Eligible applicants must meet specific requirements and submit the application within four months of appointment.
Qualifications
United States citizen (non‑citizens only when no qualified citizen is available).
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Master’s degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Licensed or certified by a state to practice social work at the master’s level.
One year of experience equivalent to GS‑11, demonstrating advanced practice skills in a specialty area or administration.
Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of supervisory duties, including clinical supervision, consultation, and quality improvement.
Eligibility for EDRP (up to $200,000).
Duties
Professional and administrative management of the Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) program.
Direct clinical services with program coordination responsibilities.
Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff and conduct performance evaluations.
Provide continuity of care and clinical supervision for subordinate staff.
Develop and monitor staff compliance with practice standards and documentation requirements.
Analyze and evaluate clinical program data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.
Provide leadership, training, and continuing education for assigned staff.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain program operations.
