The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various legal disciplines, including personal injury, workers' compensation law, medical malpractice, and litigation. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on complex cases, conduct comprehensive legal research, and develop expertise across multiple practice areas. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for legal drafting, client consultations, case preparation, and supporting the firm’s overall legal services.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development. * Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity. * Assist in managing personal injury cases from initial consultation to settlement. * Prepare for and participate in negotiations with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes. * Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing evidence and drafting discovery requests. * Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative procedures. * Engage in client consultations to gather relevant information and provide updates on case progress. * Stay current with legal developments through continuous research and professional development activities. * Collaborate effectively within the law office team to ensure high-quality legal services. * Salary is dependent on experience.
*Qualifications*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. * Admission to the state bar and in good standing. * Proven experience or strong interest in personal injury and workers' compensation. * Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. * Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability for clear legal drafting. * Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients. * Experience with legal administrative tasks is a plus. * Exceptional research skills coupled with analytical thinking. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. xuwmhxw This position provides an excellent platform for aspiring attorneys to develop their expertise across diverse legal fields while contributing meaningfully to our clients’ success.
