About the Role
The Company is seeking a Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to join its dynamic educational community. The successful candidate will serve as the Chief Academic Officer, with broad responsibilities for the planning, development, assessment, and administration of educational programs and student support services. This role is pivotal in providing effective leadership and management to ensure the quality of the educational experience, promoting academic excellence, and leading innovations that respond to a rapidly changing environment. The Provost will work closely with faculty to plan, develop, and assess academic programs, including non-credit and workforce development programs, and will oversee the systematic assessment of all academic programs and student services to ensure continuous improvement.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate, a minimum of two academic years of full-time faculty undergraduate teaching experience, and a proven track record of progressively responsible academic administrative experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the community college mission, experience in curricular and program development, and a successful record in strategic planning, fiscal management, and personnel supervision. The role requires a leader who can effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local, state, and federal agencies. A commitment to shared governance, a collegial environment, and the development of a diverse workforce is essential. The Provost will also be expected to maintain compliance with employee bargaining unit contracts and participate in the negotiating process as needed.
