2nd Shift Museum Attendants (Part-Time/OPS)
Join the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art as a 2nd Shift Museum Attendant. This part‑time role supports museum operations during the 2:00 PM‑10:30 PM shift, ensuring exceptional guest service and the safety of our collections and visitors.
Responsibilities
Assist guests while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Work assigned posts and events on the museum grounds and buildings, primarily at the Center for Performing Arts.
Patrol buildings and the 66‑acre grounds on foot and by golf cart.
Preserve the safety of staff, visitors, and the protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential hazards, or safety issues.
Occasionally utilize computers to write reports, send correspondence, and submit work orders.
Handle emergencies such as situations, fire alarms, or emergency evacuations.
Qualifications
HS diploma or GED.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, ascend/descend stairs, and work in all types of weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire. (Driver’s permits not allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous customer service experience.
Experience in a museum or non‑profit organization.
Prior experience in approaching work and interacting with colleagues and/or students.
Ability to promote a welcoming work/education environment.
