CNC Operator (Entry Level)
Independence, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an entry-level CNC Operator to join a leading manufacturing team. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for individuals beginning their career in CNC machining who are eager to grow their skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment.
Essential Duties
Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers
Interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Load raw materials and tooling into machines with accurate alignment and calibration
Perform routine inspections, measurements, and quality checks using precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality
Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies
Accurately document production data and maintain job-related paperwork
Requirements / Skills
Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC machinery preferred, but recent training or vocational school graduates are encouraged to apply
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Eagerness to learn and develop CNC skills in a hands‑on environment
Willingness to work Monday – Friday, 8–10‑hour shifts, with overtime as needed
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate precision equipment
