MLT-MLS Laboratory Supervisor
within our Laboratory Department.

Our facilities include a hospital located in Gravette, Arkansas and a number of satellite clinics located in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. Specialty clinic services include Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Diabetes Care, Hepatitis C, Urology, Geriatrics, Pain Management, and the FLAG (Fatty Liver and Goals) Clinic.

Job Summary: Under the direction of Laboratory management and technical direction of the Pathologist, the Tech Supervisor is responsible for the general maintenance of the laboratory, equipment, and supplies. Monitors and evaluates equipment, systems and supplies to ensure operational efficiency, and reliability of results and adequate inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring inventory is completed as needed, quality control reports completed for technical consultant, standardization of quality control, and reviewing remedials. In addition, must demonstrate the ability to competently perform, problem-solve and report accurately all established routine and complex clinical laboratory tests and procedures under general supervision.
Requirements: Graduate from an accredited program with an associate degree in clinical laboratory science/Medical Technology or science, including Military Degrees. A copy of bachelor’s degree must be available within six (6) months of graduation. Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP, AMT or equivalent preferred. Experience not required but 1-3 years’ experience is desirable. Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
