PRN Radiology CT-MRI Technologist
within our Radiology Department.

Job Summary Independently, or under the direction of a Radiologist or staff physician, performs radiological, CT, and MRI procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed ionizing radiation and magnet resonance imaging for diagnosis and intervention. Has responsibility for routine diagnostic imaging, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures requiring sound judgement and understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum radiographs, computed tomography and magnet resonance images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation.
Registered in CT or MRI within 1 year of hire and the other within 2 years. If unable to meet exam requirements, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements in order to obtain CT or MRI
One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate. Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.
