Baton Rouge, LA : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a

Senior Engineer – Municipal Wastewater and Water Systems

for a direct hire opportunity with a leading municipal engineering firm. This in-office role focuses on the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Gulf South region.

Essential Duties

Lead and manage municipal water and wastewater projects from concept to completion

Oversee engineering design tasks including detailed plans, specs, and bid packages

Guide projects through permitting, bidding, and construction close-out

Review shop drawings and conduct field inspections as needed

Serve as a technical advisor and mentor for engineering staff

Build and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and develop future work

Manage utility relocation design and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

Active PE license in Louisiana or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe

8+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure

Strong grasp of closed pipe hydraulics and underground utility design

Proven ability to manage small to mid-sized engineering projects

Effective communicator with strong client-facing experience

Physical Requirements

Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and client meetings

Must be able to navigate active construction sites as needed
