We are looking for a self-starter with keen attention to detail and extraordinary multitasking abilities to join the Recruiting team. In this entry-level position, you will work with the team to implement full-cycle recruiting for the City - this includes, among other duties, entering requisitions for vacancies, preparing & posting job bulletins, screening applications, setting up interviews, and negotiating job offers.

How will you have an impact? As a Recruiter I, your role is pivotal in our mission to assemble the most dynamic and talented individuals to fuel the heartbeat of our city! You'll search for the brightest stars to join our extraordinary team.

In your role on the Recruiting Team, you will:

  • Work with Recruiting team and hiring managers to support recruitment strategies and timelines
  • Respond to emerging recruiting needs and provide support as needs arise
  • Review applications to evaluate qualifications
  • Work with hiring managers to develop and review interview questions and panels
  • Participate in the City's recruitment outreach efforts, including community career fairs and events, working alongside team members; occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
  • Communicate with applicants regarding application status and qualifications
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource team to support the HR service delivery model
  • Work with supervisor on projects as requested for metrics, tracking, and reporting
  • Attend related webinars and training workshops as requested
  • Work with the recruiting team to research and identify effective posting sources
  • Participate in training for customers in recruitment processes when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study
  • One year of full-time, professional experience in human resources or recruiting/talent acquisition

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NeoGov or another Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working in a government setting
