The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex business and commercial disputes, including contract litigation, business torts, shareholder matters, and related civil litigation. Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
* Admission to the Illinois Bar in good standing
* 4+ years of experience in commercial or business litigation
* Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
* Experience managing cases from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with colleagues and clients
* Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Responsibilities
* Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts
* Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests, and settlement documents
* Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances as needed
* Develop litigation strategies and evaluate case strengths, risks, and potential outcomes
* Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, strategic advice, and case evaluations
* Collaborate with partners and team members to ensure effective case management and high-quality client service
* Participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparation
