Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
* Oversee month-end close activities and prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
* Direct tax planning and compliance efforts, including identifying incentives and coordinating with external advisors.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Research & Development, Quality, and Supply Chain to align budgets and forecasts with operational goals.
* Lead process improvement initiatives and mentor accounting staff to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements:
* Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis within a manufacturing environment.
* Advanced knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or IQMS, along with proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
* Familiarity with FDA and ISO compliance standards and experience working with cross-departmental teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills for guiding teams and collaborating with senior management.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA.
* A minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in biotech, medical device, or other regulated industries.
* In-depth understanding of GAAP, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance for manufacturing operations.
* Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
* High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
