Job Description:
* Practice Assistants play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of community-based physician practices.
* The Administrative Coordinator serves as a key administrative support resource, acting as a first point of contact for patients and ensuring a high-quality patient experience through effective coordination, communication, and organization in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
* Provide departmental administrative support by performing receptionist and clerical duties.
* Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
* Answer telephone calls promptly, gather screening information, and manage messages effectively.
* Retrieve voicemail messages, return calls, and forward messages as required.
* Support referral management and review of health insurance payors.
* Organize, maintain, and retrieve patient records, logs, and controlling systems while ensuring confidentiality.
* Coordinate new patient onboarding and related administrative processes.
* Perform special projects and additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Experience:
* Minimum of two years of medical office experience preferred.
Skills:
* Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a high-volume outpatient environment.
* Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and patient-focused mindset.
Qualification And Education:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Associate s degree preferred.
