EMPLOYMENT TERMS: 10 month/ School Year
POSITION OVERVIEW: To provide leadership in and coordination to the assigned area of English Language Arts, 6-12
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
* Foster a love of reading and writing through diverse literary selections and writing assignments.
* Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
* Assess student performance through a variety of evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and curriculum development.
* Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Valid state teaching certification in English Language Arts (015)
* Strong knowledge of literary analysis, composition, and language skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bilingual
