* Support and assist the Director of Risk Management in all aspects of the hospital's risk management and patient safety initiatives.
* Lead investigations of adverse events, near misses, and sentinel events; ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting.
* Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to develop and implement corrective action plans.
* Monitor trends in incident data to identify systemic risks and drive improvement strategies.
* Provide education and training to staff on risk prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and UHS corporate standards and policies.
* Participate in performance improvement committees and contribute to safety-related initiatives.
* Ensure timely management of claims and coordination with legal counsel and insurance providers when necessary.
* Develop, update, and implement hospital-wide risk management policies and procedures.
