* Monitor operating conditions and key performance indicators-output, heat rate, emissions, vibrations, temperatures, and AGC response-to identify abnormal conditions, maintain stable plant operations, and support ERCOT dispatch needs.
* Review operating data and performance trends to recognize deviations, emerging concerns, and improvement opportunities.
* Support the development and execution of operational plans that enhance efficiency, availability, and compliance with regulatory and market requirements.
Maintenance and Risk Management
* Coordinate and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on the LM6000, 501D5, and supporting BOP equipment.
* Oversee maintenance activities, verify work quality, and provide technical guidance to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively.
* Assist with outage planning and contribute to inspection, repair, and upgrade strategies that reduce downtime and promote long-term reliability.
* Maintain accurate logs of runtime, downtime, work orders, component history, labor hours, and maintenance costs, and provide updates on maintenance performance, KPIs, and equipment condition to support planning and audit needs.
* Monitor compliance with environmental, safety, and health requirements, including emissions management, wastewater and stormwater controls, and OSHA programs.
* Identify and help mitigate operational risks related to personnel safety, equipment condition, and regulatory compliance.
* Support the development, testing, and execution of emergency response actions for turbine trips, gas leaks, water injection or SCR issues, electrical faults, and grid events.
Personnel and Strategic Management
* Lead and mentor operations and maintenance personnel by providing daily direction, conducting pre-job briefings, and coordinating training on turbine operation, AGC procedures, PLC/HMI controls, emissions systems, LOTO, and site safety requirements.
* Support performance evaluations, reinforce adherence to LOTO procedures, and promote expectations for safety, quality, and reliability.
* Assist with budget tracking and cost control, including procurement of parts, services, consumables, and contractor support.
* Communicate with utility partners, vendors, regulators, and internal teams to assist in meeting operational and strategic goals.
* Help write, review, and revise operating and maintenance procedures to align with OEM guidance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
