Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Automotive Pool Manager II or designee, the duties and responsibilities include:
Operate and service passenger vehicles, trucks, small‑wheeled tractors, and similar motor equipment.
Perform general laboring work, including instruction, leadership, or supervision of wards or resident workers.
Operate, service, wash, and make minor adjustments and repairs to vehicles and equipment.
Transport passengers and deliver laundry, food, furniture, freight, farm products, gravel, rubbish, and other materials.
Perform miscellaneous manual labor and messenger service.
Keep simple records and perform related work.
This is a fast‑paced position requiring a wide variety of assignments within a hospital setting.
Qualifications
Commercial driver license A or B with Passenger endorsement (valid California CDL). Provide CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions.
Permanent civil service status, or eligibility for inclusion on an employment list, transfer eligibility, or reinstatement eligibility.
For those not meeting eligibility, completion of the required examination is required.
