SUMMARY The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient material movement, accurate inventory control, and safe work practices. This role provides direct leadership to warehouse associates, supports workflow execution, and ensures operational standards are met to support field installation, production, and customer delivery requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise warehouse associates and daily operations, including receiving, put‑away, staging, and outbound shipments.
Ensure inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, reconciliation, and stock rotation practices.
Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safe material storage practices.
Schedule warehouse staffing and assign daily work priorities to meet production and installation demands.
Enforce OSHA safety protocols and company warehouse safety procedures.
Conduct inspections on inbound receipts and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Monitor team performance and identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to warehouse team members.
Resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, material damage, or delayed shipments.
Collaborate with purchasing, operations, logistics, and field teams as needed to support business requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of warehouse operations experience with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
PREFERRED
Experience in construction materials, flooring, countertops, or building product warehousing
Experience with warehouse management/ERP systems
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and motivate staff
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and positively
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse systems (WMS/ERP)
Knowledge of warehouse safety requirements and OSHA standards
