Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, automation systems, and support utilities.

Diagnose PLC-related issues, including checking input and output indicators, interpreting I/O status, tracing field devices, and verifying proper signal flow.

Use clear troubleshooting logic to determine whether failures originate from sensors, actuators, wiring, relays, safety circuits, or the PLC program.

Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives, including fault codes, parameter issues, communication faults, and power/command signal problems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, wiring prints, and panel layouts to accurately identify root causes and complete repairs.

Respond to maintenance calls quickly and professionally; provide clear communication to operators and fellow technicians.

Complete preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, PM checks, and documentation with accuracy and consistency.

Verify and validate your work by confirming proper operation of equipment, sensors, motors, and safety circuits before returning systems to production.

Support continuous improvement by identifying chronic issues, recommending reliability upgrades, and assisting with small improvement projects.

Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly handle tools, parts, and components.

Assist in training or mentoring newer technicians when needed.
