Pay Range:
$30.00 – $35.00 per hour Location:
Anderson, SC
SHIFT: 12 hour shifts. 630p-7a. Must rotate from days to nights and back every 2 weeks

We are seeking skilled
Controls Technicians
to join our high-performance manufacturing team in Anderson, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving control systems and components on production and utility equipment to ensure safe operation, high reliability, and optimal line performance.
Controls Technicians play a critical role in plant uptime and quality. Using advanced technical skills and experience, this position also supports the training of other technicians, coordinates electrical preventive maintenance programs, and performs complex PLC, HMI, and servo drive programming modifications.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, using proper personal protective equipment at all times
Identify potentially hazardous electrical conditions, take immediate corrective action, and notify supervision as required
Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and system malfunctions using PLC, DCS, HMI, and servo system diagnostic tools
Utilize electrical schematics, meters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment to resolve issues
Train and assist other technicians in troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and calibration of:
Electrical sensing devices (photoelectric, inductive, capacitive, magnetic, pressure, temperature, weight, and position sensors)
Electrical control devices (AC/DC drives, servo controllers, motors, contactors, breakers, solenoids, power supplies, indicator lights)
PLC, DCS, and HMI hardware including processors, I/O cards, power supplies, network adapters, distributed I/O, and operator interfaces
Use experience and system knowledge to proactively prevent downtime, quality issues, scrap, and safety incidents
Make complex program modifications to PLC logic, HMI programs, and servo controller logic to improve equipment performance
Work closely with Controls Engineers to implement system upgrades and DCS changes, including modifications to control equipment and wiring
Support electrical preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics Technology (IET), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or similar technical field
and/or
5+ years of experience in an industrial controls maintenance environment
Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and industrial control systems
Strong experience with PLC-based hardware and software (DCS experience a plus)
Ability to make quick, accurate electrical repairs and program changes under pressure
Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Qualifications
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work rotating shifts as required
Ability to safely operate power industrial trucks
