Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are followed, operational standards are achieved, and provide inspirational training to all employees. The Assistant Manager can progress to a Senior Assistant Manager and eventually to Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months.

Responsibilities

Follow direction of the General Manager.

Support GM decisions in communicating with staff.

Work across all departments and perform all theatre job functions.

Train and coach team members in their specific roles.

Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the GM.

Inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, signage, and equipment conditions.

Report required building, property, or equipment repairs to the GM.

Enforce dress code and ensure team members comply.

Interact with guests to improve service and deliver superior customer experience.

Follow and enforce Cinemark’s policies and procedures.

Report employee relations issues to the GM or via Convercent as required.

Maintain high work ethic, conduct, and code of conduct.

Sanitize high‑contact areas and properly use PPE.

Adopt cleaning protocols as needed.

Address safety and security issues such as trip hazards or suspicious persons.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum age 18.

High School or G.E.D. graduation preferred.

Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program basics.

Food handling training and required certifications.

Safe Alcohol Service training for employees who serve alcohol.

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Regular and consistent attendance.

Energized and friendly attitude during shifts.

Excellent guest service skills.

Accurate cash handling and basic math.

Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Teamwork and independent work capability.

Ability to take and follow direction.

Sense of urgency and strong time‑management skills.

Ability to train and lead others.

Conflict resolution ability.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.

Noise levels may be moderate to high.

Must be able to stand for extended periods.
