Job Summary The Academic Services Administrator (ASA) is responsible for the administration of academic programs and functions related to academic instruction and course delivery. The ASA is involved in a broad range of administrative duties supporting instruction, such as posting and grading materials within learning management systems (LMS), building and posting assessments, developing schedules for course‑specific activities, supporting curricular alignment efforts, and implementing other course‑specific needs. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, creative, possess strong organizational skills, work efficiently, and engage collaboratively with faculty, chairs, and deans. The position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

Responsibilities

Conduct administrative duties to support and facilitate academic instruction for successful course delivery.

Conduct administrative duties to support and facilitate the administration and analysis of academic assessments.

Collaborate with the curricular team on educational scholarship endeavors to produce presentations, publications, grant funding, etc., that highlight innovations in academic assessment and evaluation.

Continuous quality improvement related to academic affairs (curriculum, accreditation, assessment, and operations).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or a field related to the academic program, or a Bachelor’s degree in those same fields with a minimum of two years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Canvas LMS, ExamSoft, and other educational technology, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience working with academic data analyses and accreditation information/reports.

Experience with educational scholarship.

SB 1310 – Faculty and Staff Eligibility Senate Bill 1310 is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. The bill allows a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed the following thresholds:

Two years of direct experience for an associate degree.

Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree.

Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree.

Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
