Job Summary The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky is Kentucky’s Center on Disability. HDI is seeking a Disability Program Administrator I to join our team and serve as an Assistive Technology & Knowledge Translation Coordinator. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct home accessibility assessments and develop recommendations for environmental modifications and automation
Curate, match, and redeploy assistive technology
Maintain inventory and coordinate repairs
Translate disability and rehabilitation research into practical applications for stakeholders
Coordinate initiatives and provide expertise across HDI projects and partner units
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in home accessibility and assistive technology with strong communication and organizational skills, and will be able to work independently and collaborate effectively.
Important:
This position is contingent upon the successful allocation and receipt of funds from federal and/or state agencies.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Preferred: Driver’s license.
