Respiratory Therapist Seasonal (PRN Night) – Medical City Dallas
Description Rate:
$52/hr Work Requirement:
72 hours per pay period (each pay period is two weeks) Contract:
Through April 4, 2026 Seasonal PRN position for days.

Job Summary and Qualifications Staff respiratory therapists must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care with additional competency in NICU and pediatric patient care. They will execute assignments and comply with hospital and respiratory policies. Experience with respiratory students in a clinical setting may be required.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by the NBRC
At least one year of experience in respiratory care with documented training in NICU and/or Pediatrics
Certification as a CRT or RRT by the NBRC upon hire
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
Current NRP and PALS certifications
ACLS preferred (facility‑based requirements)
Program Requirements
Minimum 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
May be asked to float to another nearby facility with emergent staffing needs
Four weekend shifts per four‑week schedule period
Two holiday shifts per 32‑week period (as defined by the Department Manager)
Seasonal staff are PRN employees and are subject to first‑call off; hours are not guaranteed
Seasonal staff are eligible for a 401(k) and retirement contribution only, no additional benefits
No extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)
Registered nurses in the seasonal program have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
Current employees of HWS and current employees of HCA cannot join for the 2025–26 program
Shift schedule may vary based on departmental needs
