Job Overview Respiratory Therapist Seasonal (PRN) – Night shift – PEDS NICU – Medical City Dallas.

Pay and Schedule Rate:

$52/HR

Work requirement:

72 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks).

Contract:

Through 4/4/2026.

Description Seasonal PRN position for a Respiratory Therapist in the NICU. The role supports pediatric and neonatal care, assisting with respiratory modalities and patient management during night shifts.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.

One year experience in Respiratory Care and documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.

CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire.

Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required.

Current NRP and PALS required.

ACLS preferred (facility-based).

Program Requirements

All seasonal RNs required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.

Within a close geography, may be asked to float to another facility with emergent staffing need.

Four weekend shifts required each 4‑week schedule period.

During the 32‑week period, required to work two holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).

Seasonal staff PRN status employees subject to first call‑off; no guaranteed hours.

Seasonal staff not eligible for benefits except 401(k) and retirement contribution per PRN policy.

Seasonal staff not eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD).

Registered Nurses in the seasonal program have one opportunity to pass clinical competency evaluation.

Current employees not eligible to join the seasonal program for 2025‑26.

Current employees of HWS not eligible for the seasonal program.

Shifts may vary based on department needs.
