Position Overview
The Shipping Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing shipping, logistics, and inventory control operations at
Q Products . This position is responsible for managing daily shipping and material flow activities across production and warehouse environments while supervising a team of up to five employees.
This role requires a hands‑on, experienced logistics professional who can quickly step in, manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment, and operate with minimal training. The Shipping Supervisor ensures accurate inventory movement, efficient shipment scheduling, and seamless coordination between internal teams and external carriers to support on‑time delivery and production continuity.
What You’ll Do Shipping & Logistics Operations
Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling outbound shipments and coordinating carriers.
Ensure timely and accurate movement of finished goods, leased goods, and materials between buildings.
Maintain shipping documentation, records, and system accuracy.
Monitor daily shipping priorities and adjust schedules as volumes ramp up or conditions change.
Act as the primary point of contact for shipping‑related issues and escalation.
Inventory Control & Systems
Oversee inventory organization, accuracy, and movement across warehouse and production areas.
Support cycle counting, stock audits, and serial number tracking (ICRs, RAM items, lease quilts).
Utilize Excel and internal systems to track inventory, shipments, and documentation.
Use and oversee QR‑based tracking tools (QuiltTracker) to ensure outgoing order accuracy.
Ensure data integrity within inventory and shipping systems.
Leadership & Team Supervision
Supervise, train, and support a team of up to five material handlers/shipping associates.
Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure workload coverage during peak periods.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Lead by example in safety, organization, and accountability.
Production & Equipment Support
Ensure continuous material flow to production and cleaning teams.
Operate forklifts as needed to support shipping and material movement.
Oversee operation and basic programming of the packaging/Qliner machine.
Collect labor and burden data on work orders as required.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to shipping and logistics workflows.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and company policies.

What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills
Proven experience in shipping, logistics, and inventory control within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Prior supervisory or lead experience, managing teams of up to five employees.
Strong understanding of shipping processes, scheduling, and carrier coordination.
High level of comfort with computer systems, including Excel and inventory/shipping software.
Experience working in fast‑paced environments that can ramp up quickly.
Ability to step into the role with minimal training and make an immediate impact.
Additional Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Forklift certification required
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
Reliable transportation required (role supports multiple buildings).
Availability for overtime as business needs require.
Physical and Environmental Elements This is a production classification and employees work indoors and outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs.
