Location City: Palm Beach County, Florida Title Mechanical Inspector and/or Plans Examiner Job Description CAP Government, Inc. is seeking an immediate hire of a licensed Mechanical Plans Examiner and Inspector. The role involves inspection and plan review services for construction projects, interpreting and applying building codes and regulations, reviewing blueprints, shop drawings, product approvals, and other project documents. Travel may be required for site inspections and project management. Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications Conduct examination of building permit applications, including blueprints, specifications, surveys, product approvals, shop drawings, and other required documents for compliance with the Florida Building Code and related regulations. Prepare written and electronic reports and issue notices of correction. Recognize, evaluate, and resolve unique problems or situations. Meet with design professionals, contractors, and other interested parties to discuss technical code issues during the plan review process. Prepare and maintain all required records and reports. Inspect buildings and other facilities for compliance with the Florida Building Code and all related regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager. Salary Commensurate with experience and licensure. Certification or certifiability as a Building Plans Examiner by the Miami‑Dade and/or Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals (BORA) is a plus.
