Overview of Responsibilities
Member Service Representative: processing loan applications, opening new memberships, opening IRAs, setting up automated services, supporting Call Center as needed. Effectively explains membership options and ensures accurate paperwork.
Teller: accurately complete teller transactions, balance drawer, end‑of‑day checks. Includes cashing checks, processing deposits/withdrawals, making member payments, processing certificate of deposit transactions, member account maintenance.
Relationships: exceed member service expectations, build trusting relationships, use creating member loyalty skills to handle complaints, resolve issues and identify solutions.
Cross‑Selling: consultative approach, ask high‑impact questions, listen for cues, use in‑depth knowledge of MSGCU products, cross‑sell and offer solutions (Credit Life, Credit Disability, GAP), generate new business via referrals.

Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED
6 months of teller or retail sales/cashier experience
Either 2 years retail sales experience, associate degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance), or 1 year member/customer facing experience in financial services
Working Conditions
Office and branch environment with minimal noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
Occasional travel within MSGCU’s service area.
Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions (e.g., robbery) with detailed instructions annually.
Mostly seated work, occasional walking/standing, may lift up to 10 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly pay starts at $18.65.
Variable compensation plan with incentives.
For those 21+, 3% contribution from MSGCU and 100% match up to next 7% of 401(k).
12 paid holidays and up to 60 hours of PTO in first year (prorated).
