Job Summary Support the HR Manager in administering and executing all aspects of human resources compliance, policies, and day‑to‑day operations for a dynamic, safety‑first organization. Manage onboarding, benefits, leave, performance, and employee relations functions while ensuring Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements are met.

Position Description As HR Generalist, you will play a key role in recruiting, training, background checks, payroll coordination, and the establishment of accurate personnel records. You will partner with Payroll, Hiring Managers, Operations, and Safety to deliver timely, confidential HR services and maintain the integrity of the HR information system.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Partner with HR and Payroll to manage the New Hire & Onboarding Process, including orientation, I‑9 verification, and system data entry.

Assist the HR Manager with leave and benefit administration, attendance tracking, and performance appraisal coordination.

Lead recruiting activities, such as posting, screening, and interviewing candidates for all company positions.

Track and document training and development program progress; send reminders and facilitate learning opportunities.

Coordinate background checks, unemployment hearing responses, and employee verification requests.

Support HRM in all employee relations matters, including document preparation, interview facilitation, and policy interpretation.

Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with Operations and Safety on attendance, certification, and training reporting.

Escalate critical issues to the HR Manager or Executive Leadership with recommended solutions.

Perform additional related duties as directed by the HR Manager or Executive Leaders.

Qualifications Preferred Education & Experience

2–5 years of experience in an HR‑related capacity, preferably in construction.

Detail oriented, able to multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong confidentiality and information security awareness.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands Computers: extended use of a keyboard and mouse. Manual handling: occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Visits to field sites may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moderate to loud noise, and extended periods of standing.

Work Environment Remote office work with frequent travel to field sites and projects. Exposure to outside weather, temperature extremes, and variable noise levels. Aircraft: a dynamic, safety‑centric environment requiring a balance of administrative and field‑related activities.
