Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 1588) Work with minimal supervision to support store operations, using GameStop’s buy, sell, trade and reservation business model. Build a sales culture by providing personalized service, promoting products, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet promptly, respond to questions quickly, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and thank guests.

Support visual & operational elements and current sales initiatives.

Process guest purchases/returns accurately on the POS.

Answer phone calls promptly and professionally; escale issues to the Store Manager.

Promote GameStop guest benefits (reservations, trade‑in, Pro Rewards).

Assist the Store Manager with staffing, training, onboarding and compliance.

Schedule store associates and ensure scheduling guidelines.

Enter payroll, time off, verify pay for all time worked.

Maintain store cleanliness and equipment functionality.

Fulfill Omni‑Channel orders and process shipments.

Control inventory, perform counts, restock merchandise, and reconcile daily totals.

Handle defectives/recalls and oversee bank deposits.

Address safety concerns, report injuries, and maintain secure store environment.

Maintain records/files and ensure manuals are up to date.

Supervise & delegate to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders.

Adhere to GameStop policies, code of standards, ethics, and opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Minimum 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least 6 months of retail management experience (preferred).

At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, or management experience (preferred).

Video game knowledge preferred.

Basic math and alphabetizing skills.

Complete required paperwork properly.

Follow written and oral instructions.

Execute financial tasks per company policy.

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays; minimum 3 days/week.

Manage stress and solve problems creatively.

Reliable, trustworthy, good judgment.

Work alone, stand up to 12 hr/day.

Physical ability: bend, stoop, crouch, lift up to 30 lbs.

Understand military ranks and insignia (applicable at military bases).
