Job Summary eGastroMD is seeking a detail-oriented
Payroll Assistant
to support accurate and timely payroll processing in a healthcare environment. This full-time hybrid role focuses on payroll data management, compliance support, and coordination with HR and accounting teams to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
Assist with bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing
Enter, review, and maintain employee payroll data
Audit timesheets, attendance records, and pay adjustments
Support payroll tax filings, deductions, and benefit contributions
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Maintain confidential payroll records in compliance with regulations
Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
Coordinate with HR, accounting, and management teams
Qualifications
1+ year of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
Familiarity with payroll systems, timekeeping software, and Excel
Knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance preferred
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Strong organizational and communication skills
