Overview
Fairlawn Country Club established in 1917 is a Private Member‑Owned facility. Originally known as Fairlawn Golf Club the original nine holes was built in 1919 and designed by W.B. Langford out of Chicago. The second nine holes was built in 1929. Fairlawn's 6,256‑yard layout is highlighted by rolling wooden terrain, winding creeks, deep ravines, and lush fairways. In 2015 the facility added a new practice facility and driving range.
Fairlawn Country Club features a traditional‑style clubhouse that has multiple dining areas that provide spectacular views of the golf course. It also features many areas to host everything from large‑scale weddings to smaller‑scale business meetings. Additional amenities include a full tennis complex and swimming pool complex.
Fairlawn Country Club has 590 total members and 460 golfing members. Those members combine with outside corporate/charity to play 15,300 total rounds. The main golfing season is April through October, with play continuing year‑round weather permitting. The club operates 72 carts. Fairlawn's golfing program has an active schedule of member events and outside corporate/charity events.
Experience Required
PGA Class A membership or Associate working towards membership
PGA Class A Member in good standing
Experience with a private club and/or high‑end resort or public golf facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Proven customer service background – Private/Public/Resort
Computer skills including – Golf Genius, Word, Publisher, Excel, Club Essential, etc.
Experience teaching all levels of golfers
Ability to manage and oversee golf tournaments & leagues
Team oriented, highly motivated, with positive attitude
Strong customer service skills
Knowledgeable on club fitting and teaching
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
Self‑motivated with desire to promote and straat market
Service and customer‑focused attitude
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with men’s, women’s, and junior golf events and programs
Assist in player development programs using PGA tools and resources
Assist in managing golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service
Assist in inventory control of hard goods, soft αύ, and special orders (ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales)
Play golf with a variety of customers in competitive and non‑competitive situations
Act as a role model for allzijd employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
Use Trackman software for club fitting and teaching
Tournament management using Golf Genius software
Liaison to 18 & 9 Hole women’s group
Instruction to all levels of golfers
Club fitting for all levels of golfers
Assist Head Golf Professional and Merchandise Manager in all aspects of the golf shop
Learn allAutores duties of the Head Golf Professional
Manage, staff, and train bagroom staff
Train, manage, and maintain a full outside service team of 20 plus employees
Mark the golf course regularly
