Service Technician
to join our team.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role with real variety. While service engineering will be the primary focus, this position also supports sales, logistics, and operational efforts within a small, collaborative U.S. team.
This role is well-suited for someone early in their technical career or a mechanically inclined professional ready to grow into a broader role.
What You’ll Do
Install, commission, and service X‑ray inspection systems at customer facilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs (on‑site and remote)
Read electrical schematics and understand system components
Install, update, and support operating systems and Mekitec’s proprietary inspection software
Conduct application testing and provide customer training
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams
Support sales activities with technical input, demos, and testing
Assist with shipping/receiving, equipment handling, and warehouse organization
Operate a forklift or be willing to learn
Support marketing activities such as trade shows, demos, and customer visits
Complete service documentation and reports
What We’re Looking For
Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
Comfort learning new software systems and performing system updates
Ability to communicate confidently in customer‑facing environments
Willingness to travel frequently within North America, with occasional international travel
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in industrial environments
Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain both)
Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Nice to have, but not required:
Technical or trade school background
Field service or industrial equipment experience
Customer support or sales support experience
Spanish language skills
