Office Assistant, Ob/Gyn at Map II
ChristianaCare Women's Health at Map II in Newark, DE is seeking a Medical Office Assistant I. The role involves scheduling appointments, greeting patients, processing referrals, and maintaining patient confidentiality while providing administrative support.
Base pay range:
$17.32/hr – $25.12/hr
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Duties / Responsibilities
Schedule appointments considering insurance details.
Greet patients and collect demographic and financial information.
Process referral information and maintain patient confidentiality.
Collect payments according to insurance guidelines and verify coverage.
Coordinate referrals and perform daily reconciliation of appointments and payments.
Answer phone calls professionally and relay messages accurately.
Use EMR to communicate with providers and staff.
Update patients on issues until resolved and facilitate testing and appointments.
Prepare medical records by scanning and indexing reports into patient charts.
Research patient issues and provide timely responses.
Assist with administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and adhering to safety protocols.

Education Requirements
High School Graduate or GED required.
