Kenner, LA : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for our client in the MilRail® Material Handling Systems Department.
Essential Duties:
Perform full lifecycle product development including design, prototyping, manufacturing, and implementation Improve existing mechanical systems and components Present design plans to management and clients Produce 3D equipment layouts using Creo Parametric software Create 2D installation drawings using Autodesk CAD software Assist in detailed system quotations using Microsoft Excel Oversee system installations (travel required) Requirements/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience in mechanical drawing and 3D design, especially with Creo Parametric (ProE) Autodesk CAD experience is a plus Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to explain complex mechanical concepts Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Commercial aptitude with ability to communicate effectively with customers Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel and work on-site during system installations Must be able to perform standard physical activities involved in mechanical engineering tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting materials or tools as required Equal Opportunity Statement:
