Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities
Perform inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the front end and pharmacy.
Manage receiving, counting, ordering, returns, and pricing, ensuring planogram accuracy.
Coordinate the use of reports and systems to maintain accurate front end and pharmacy on‑hand balances.
Implement asset protection techniques and file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, and damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
Open and close the store as needed, handling system start‑ups, cash handling, and cashier responsibilities.
Engage customers by greeting, providing assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
Coach and train team members on warehouse and vendor inventory processes.
Scan deliveries, confirm receipt, and open tickets for discrepancies.
Verify pharmacy shipments, post orders, and perform pharmacy smart counts.
Execute the end‑to‑end On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) process, including disposals and vendor returns.
Complete pricing activities such as price changes, markdowns, and regulatory pricing tasks.
Support front end and pharmacy ordering, manage consigned inventory, and monitor manual orders.
Maintain accurate on‑hand quantities and ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
Prepare for and support physical inventory day activities.
Maintain clean and merchandised counters and shelves.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Assist with package delivery scanning and support the Pickup Program.
Handle POS duties when acting as lead on duty, including sales registration and refund processing.
Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience at Walgreens (internal) or one year of prior retail experience (external).
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
“Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal only).
Demonstrated attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to manage execution.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.
Previous work experience at Walgreens, with documentation on file.
