Position Overview Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee operations, ensuring continuous improvement and efficient daily workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Allocate resources and organize/distribute daily work duties to team members.
Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPIs using appropriate leadership styles.
Assist in providing orientation for employees and necessary information, technology and tools.
Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
Manage day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
One year or more proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner (advanced required).
Valid forklift operator’s license certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective leadership skills.
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proactively approaches responsibilities.
Maintains composure under pressure.
Works using health and safety methods.
Bilingual (for Québec locations only).
