About the Role

The Company is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Director to lead its mission of advocating for criminal justice and immigration reform. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, overseeing programmatic work, and ensuring the organizations' impact and innovation. This role involves working closely with the Board of Trustees, managing a diverse team, and maintaining a strong external presence to advance the agenda of safety, accountability, and justice. The CEO/Executive Director will also be tasked with fundraising, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and ensuring the organizations' commitment to core values, including racial equity.

Applicants must have a minimum of 7-10 years' significant leadership experience, a proven track record in leading high-impact initiatives, and a deep understanding of the tools for policy change. The role requires a leader with strong critical thinking, decision-making skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in shaping political and advocacy strategies, a strong grasp of the policy and political environment, and a successful history of working with both individual and institutional funders. The CEO/Executive Director will be expected to be an exemplar of the values of the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and commitment, and ensuring the staff has the necessary resources and infrastructure to meet their goals.
