Director of Nursing (Nurse Administrator) Location: California Employment Type: Full-Time Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab Ambulatory Surgery Center Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 annually About the Facility This accredited Cardiac Cath Lab Ambulatory Surgery Center is a modern, patient-focused facility dedicated to delivering high-quality cardiac care. The center includes two state-of-the-art cath labs and eight recovery bays and is fully accredited by AAAASF. The organization is committed to clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and compassionate patient care. Position Summary The Director of Nursing / Nurse Administrator is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position ensures compliance with AAAASF accreditation standards and CMS regulations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. The role reports directly to the Medical Director and works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the ASC, including two cardiac cath labs and eight recovery bays Ensure ongoing compliance with AAAASF accreditation requirements and CMS regulatory standards Lead quality assurance (QA), quality improvement (QI), and infection control programs Supervise, mentor, and support clinical and administrative staff to ensure safe and efficient workflows Collaborate closely with physicians and the Medical Director to optimize patient outcomes Provide strategic oversight of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis Develop, implement, and manage the annual operating budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities Manage vendor contracts, supply chain operations, and inventory controls Analyze financial metrics and operational performance indicators and prepare reports for leadership Oversee billing, coding, and revenue cycle management in collaboration with the business office Monitor staffing, resource utilization, and operational efficiency Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports Serve as the primary liaison with governing bodies, vendors, and community partners Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred Licensure & Certifications: Active RN license in the state of California BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in an ASC setting Cardiac or cath lab experience strongly preferred Proven experience with business office and operational management in an ASC Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial operations, and cost containment Experience maintaining AAAASF accreditation and CMS compliance Strong knowledge of QA/QI processes and infection control Additional Requirements: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of healthcare billing, reimbursement models, and ASC revenue cycle management Compensation & Benefits Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Retirement plan options (401(k)) Continuing education and professional development support Work Location: In-person Schedule: Full-time
