Daily Chew Catering Sales and Events Manager : The Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering department at Daily Chew, from daily operations to the flawless execution of events. This role ensures that every client experience reflects our company’s standards of quality and hospitality and business growth.
Position: Catering Sales + Events Manager
Report to: Director of Operations
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site and off-site catering operations, including planning, staffing, logistics, and execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and personalized service.
- Oversee event preparation and execution, including menu coordination, setup, service, and breakdown.
- Manage catering staff scheduling, training, and performance to ensure efficiency, professionalism, and hospitality.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure menu accuracy, quality control, and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Monitor event budgets, costs, and profitability while maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Develop and implement standardized systems to streamline catering operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience at Daily Chew.”
- Ensure proper inventory management through order guide processes to avoid waste, shortages, or cost overruns.
- Maintain standards and quality of food, service, and presentation.
- Resourcefully solve issues that arise and manage crises with calm, collected leadership.
- Act as the bridge between clients and culinary staff to set expectations for menus and events.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with staff and guests.
- Create and coordinate catering signage, including menus, tent cards, and other event materials.
- Access and collaborate on Team Google Docs accounts. Must be proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email communication.
- Communicate daily through Slack channels.
Additional Responsibilities
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Forecast catering sales and track performance to identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead post-event evaluations to capture client feedback and implement improvements.
- Develop vendor and partner relationships to ensure quality sourcing and cost-effectiveness.
Mentor and grow catering staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with company leadership to align catering operations with Daily Chew’s overall goals and vision.
- Directly oversee and execute high-profile events, ensuring flawless delivery.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in catering management, hospitality, or event operations.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.

- $58-62k based on experience.
